Gaby Holland, LICSW, works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Her areas of specialty include treatment of anxiety, trauma, and depression. She enjoys working with college students as well as clients who are experiencing various life transitions or who are working through personal challenges related to identity..
Prior to joining Acton Psychological Associates, Gaby worked as a school adjustment counselor at Weston High School where she served as the clinical director and lead clinician for two therapeutic programs. Her responsibilities included: providing individual therapy to adolescents with a diverse array of clinical needs: coordinating care with families, community outreach with teachers, school administrators, physicians and hospitals, and developing detailed treatment plans. During her time at Weston High School Gaby gained a lot of experience working with parents helping them to feel more empowered and successful in their communication styles and in their relationships with their children. This led to a special interest in working with couples and an understanding of how much of an impact differing parental styles and behavioral patterns can have on families.
Prior to her position at the high school, Gaby provided individual counseling to middle school and elementary students. She is also trained in and has experience working with students in special education.
Gaby has a warm relational style and draws from several modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and family systems.
