Lindsay is a licensed independent clinical social worker who specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, body image issues, and life transitions. Lindsay particularly enjoys working with women across the reproductive spectrum, including those in the prenatal, postpartum, and perimenopausal stages of life. With a background in high school and college counseling, Lindsay also enjoys helping adolescents and young adults cope with challenges around identity development, stress management, and relationships.
With a warm, authentic therapeutic style, Lindsay provides unconditional acceptance, empathic validation, and (where appropriate) humor to her clients. She views therapy as a collaborative process during which clients gradually gain the insight and tools that empower them to create lasting, positive change. While her approach to therapy is eclectic and tailored to each client’s needs, she most frequently uses cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based approaches.
Lindsay received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and English from Williams College and a Master’s in Social Work from Simmons University. She worked as a high school adjustment counselor for 13 years and has been in private practice since 2010.
Life can feel overwhelming at times. By offering the space to explore thoughts and feelings without judgment, Lindsay helps her clients gain clarity, work towards self-acceptance, and create more balanced, fulfilling lives.
